Eggs by Jerry Spinelli

Eggs is a book about a 9 year-old boy who goes Easter egg hunting. He isn't fast enough and receives no eggs. So he goes farther into the woods. To his surprise, he finds a yellow egg sticking out. He dares to go get it; he picks it up... under it he finds lips! He removes more leaves... A DEAD CORPSE! He was not afraid. He talked to it (he actually had a conversation with it). Then finally his grandmom calls him. They go home.

The next day, he goes back and finds the corpse missing! He watches the news. He reads the newspaper. This goes on for about a week. No sign of a dead body found in the park.

He finally calls the police... he hangs up after a couple minutes, so he never really did talk to the police. If you want to know what happens in this book, read it! On a scale of 1 to 5, I give it a 4!
